A fire erupted at Hotel Fairmont, a prominent establishment near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport's Terminal 2 in Vile Parle East, Mumbai, on Saturday evening. The Mumbai Fire Brigade received an urgent alert at 5:29 PM and dispatched multiple units to the location rapidly. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.

Officials stated that the blaze was contained within the AC unit and exhaust ducting situated on the terrace of the hotel's 13-story structure. This building comprises three basement levels, a ground floor, and ten upper floors. As a safety measure, the hotel's staff and guests were evacuated promptly. Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the fire while confirming that, as of now, no injuries have been reported.

In a separate incident on the same day, a substantial fire ignited at a five-storey residential building in the Marine Lines area. According to the Mumbai Fire Department, the emergency call was logged at 12:26 PM, with the scene located near Marine chamber beside Zaffer Hotel near Gol Masjid. The fire was restricted to the top floor, and several fire tenders were dispatched immediately. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported from this location either, as fire officials diligently worked to control the situation amid heavy smoke.
