Amid escalating tensions in Odisha, Congress leader Ram Chandra Kadam has launched a scathing criticism of the state government, accusing it of using brutal force against party workers out of fear. Kadam insisted that the Congress would not be deterred and vowed to continue its fight.

The conflict unfolded as Kadam, speaking to ANI, described the state government as 'blind' and raised concerns over women's safety. Congress worker Rupaditya Mahapatra echoed these sentiments, questioning government measures to protect women from increasing incidents of violence.

The protests turned violent with police using water cannons and batons against Congress supporters pushing towards the Odisha Assembly. Tensions have surged in response to the suspension of 14 Congress MLAs and the party's demands for a probe into crimes against women under the current BJP leadership.
