In a tragic incident, a bridge over the Indrayani River collapsed, claiming four lives and injuring dozens more. Survivors of the catastrophe recounted the overwhelming crowd build-up believed to have contributed to the collapse.
Maval Tahsildar Vikram Deshmukh confirmed that no complaints of missing individuals have been reported while the injured are receiving medical treatment. The disaster struck on Sunday afternoon, triggering a swift response from rescue teams.
District Collector Jitendra Dudi reported that 51 people suffered injuries, with three identified casualties. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi liaised with Chief Minister Fadnavis to ensure efficient deployment of relief efforts as search operations for two unaccounted individuals continue.
