The 18-year-old son approached the police, claiming that his mother had traveled to Punjab with friends and subsequently eloped with her lover. The scenario was exacerbated by the son's allegations that his mother had absconded with Rs 3.5 lakh in cash and jewellery.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain stated, 'The matter is being looked into,' with assurances that further action will follow a thorough preliminary investigation. The case has prompted mixed reactions within the community.
