In a heartbreaking incident during the Sri Krishna Janmashtami procession in Hyderabad's Ramantapur Gokulenagar, six youths lost their lives due to electrocution. The tragedy, described as deeply disturbing by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, prompted expressions of grief and condolences to the affected families. Reddy urged for a swift recovery of the injured and emphasized the need for preventive measures to avert future mishaps.
Authorities have commenced on-ground assessments, with Musharraf Ali Faruqui, Chairman and Managing Director, visiting the site to address the issue with the Deputy Chief Minister. The incident occurred when TV cable connectors came into contact with electrical lines, causing five fatalities and serious injuries to two others, one of whom succumbed later during treatment.
In response, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao also voiced his sorrow over the incident, lamenting the loss of young lives and urging government support for the victims' families. Rao advocated for enhanced medical care for the injured and called for stringent safety protocols to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
