A tragic accident unfolded in Telangana's Rangareddy district on Monday as a lorry collided with a TGSRTC bus, leading to the death of 19 people and injuring 20 others, according to official reports.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty reported that the bus was carrying approximately 60 passengers at the time of the incident, with both the bus and lorry drivers counted among the fatalities. Immediate investigations revealed that the lorry, transporting construction chips, was traveling the wrong way, causing a head-on collision.
This tragic event has prompted condolences from prominent figures, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who expressed grief over the loss of life and announced financial aid from the Prime Minister National Relief Fund to support the families of those affected.
