A traveler from Jodhpur Airport, headed to Bengaluru, voiced frustration over the airline's lack of responsiveness, stating he needed to reach his destination urgently but received no clarity.
Another passenger at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Odisha, recounted spending three futile hours seeking answers about her Bengaluru flight, crucial for her international connection to Vietnam. Despite requesting accommodation on alternate flights, she was left stranded, facing prohibitive travel times by road.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation has intervened, directing IndiGo and other airlines to implement immediate corrective actions to stabilize operations. Orders mandate schedule normalization, automatic refunds for cancellations, and accommodation for stranded passengers, with senior citizens prioritized in comfort provisions. The Ministry remains vigilant in consultation to restore service stability swiftly.
