In a strategic move to boost the adoption of rooftop solar power systems across households, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited unveiled the community-oriented 'Solar Ambassador' programme. Launched in alignment with the Centre's PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, this initiative aims to engage communities, raise awareness about rooftop solar benefits, and promote the shift to clean energy.

Upon its inauguration on National Youth Day at the TPSDI–CENPEID Green Energy Skill Centre in Rohini, the programme was graced by Special Secretary (Power) Ravi Dadhich along with senior officials from Tata Power-DDL. Through this initiative, 20 trained officials have been appointed as 'Solar Ambassadors,' tasked with bridging the gap between government policies and consumers.

Tata Power-DDL emphasized the role of young professionals in accelerating India's clean energy transition. Dadhich noted that the success of these initiatives relies heavily on grassroots implementation, aiming to create one crore solar-powered households throughout the country. The 'Solar Ambassadors' have undergone extensive training in rooftop solar technologies and are poised to significantly contribute to the government's clean energy objectives.
