Google and ReNew's Solar Experiment to Power 360,000 Homes in India

Decarbonisation firm ReNew Energy Global Plc announced a partnership with Google on Tuesday, unveiling plans to create a 150MW solar project in Rajasthan, India.
Part of the collaboration involves Google procuring energy attributes like carbon credits from ReNew, enhancing the project's financial stability and aiding Google's emission reduction goals.
The initiative, expected to supply 4,25,000 MWh of clean electricity yearly, will power over 3,60,000 Indian households. Set for commissioning in 2026, it marks a significant step towards India's goal of 500GW of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030.
