A tragic incident unfolded in Jaipur's Journalist Colony when a speeding Audi, driven by Dinesh, son of Rajendra Jat, was involved in a severe hit-and-run accident. Occurring near Kharabas Circle, the event claimed the life of one individual and injured at least twelve others, according to local police.
Authorities launched a search operation for the vehicle, culminating in the arrest of Dinesh, who carried a reward of Rs. 25,000 on his head. The accident took place late at night on January 9, 2026, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
Station House Officer Madan Lal confirmed the details with ANI, noting that two individuals had been detained regarding the incident. Meanwhile, BL Yadav, Nodal Incharge at SMS Hospital, reported that five of the injured had been admitted for treatment. Witness Deewan recounted the terrifying moment when the car crashed into patrons at a local dhaba.
