Assam's Nuruddin Ahmed Honored with Padma Shri for Artistic Excellence

Assamese sculptor Nuruddin Ahmed has been awarded the Padma Shri 2026, recognizing his outstanding contributions to art. This year, the President of India approved 131 honors, spanning categories like art, public affairs, medicine, and more. The revered Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri awards were conferred on both national and posthumous figures, recognizing their invaluable contributions.
