Indian Army Aids Aspiring Doctor from Pulwama to Combat Poverty with Education

The 44 Rashtriya Rifles unit of the Indian Army is helping Sahil Shafi, a promising student from Pulwama district, to rise above poverty and pursue his medical aspirations. Hailing from Darbgam, a remote village, Sahil has shown exceptional academic performance, scoring 498 marks in his Class 10 exams despite financial hardships.
With his father working as a daily-wage laborer, the family's limited resources posed significant challenges to his education. However, the army's intervention provided much-needed support and bolstered Sahil's resolve. The army has assured Sahil of continuous assistance, thus empowering him to aim for a career that could benefit his entire village.
Grateful for this support, Sahil expressed his deep appreciation to the Indian Army for coming to his aid. This act of kindness has reinforced hopes among South Kashmir's youth, demonstrating how encouragement and support can help students overcome adversities and achieve their dreams.
