Norway's DNO Eyes Strategic Kurdish Oil Export Agreement

Norway's DNO, the top oil producer in Iraq's Kurdistan region, is contemplating participating in a deal to export Kurdish oil through a Turkish pipeline. DNO Executive Chairman Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani indicated that both other companies and Iraq's SOMO support this potential collaboration.

Norwegian oil giant DNO, the leading producer in Iraq's Kurdistan region, is evaluating the possibility of joining an existing agreement for exporting Kurdish crude via a major pipeline to Turkey.

During a recent statement, DNO Executive Chairman Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani expressed the company's openness to entering the agreement at a time of their choosing, highlighting that other participating firms and the Iraqi state oil marketer SOMO are encouraging such a move.

The potential collaboration could signal a significant step in the region's oil export dynamics, where international and regional partnerships are crucial for economic and strategic interests.
