Empowering March: Shakti Walk Celebrates Women's Leadership in India

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took part in the 'Shakti Walk' organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development at Kartavya Path on International Women's Day. During the event, Chief Minister Gupta praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for women's empowerment and highlighted the increasing reality of women's leadership under his governance.
In her remarks, CM Gupta stated, "The way women's empowerment has taken shape today, talk of a women-led government is becoming a possibility under the Prime Minister's leadership." The Ministry spearheaded the Shakti Walk, under the banner #SheLeadsBharat, from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM, stretching approximately two kilometers from India Gate to Vijay Chowk.
The walk drew around 3,000 women from over 150 institutions, including representatives from various significant sectors, all underscoring the essential role women play in advancing a progressive and inclusive Bharat. Women leaders from multiple ministries, backed by international organizations, joined the celebration, emphasizing women's significance in national progress and acknowledging their contributions through cultural presentations and government scheme showcases.
