The Uttarakhand government has orchestrated a significant reshuffle in the leadership of its energy sector corporations, prompting the exit of several high-ranking officials. Key figures, including UPCL's Managing Director Anil Kumar and UJVNL's Managing Director Sandeep Singhal, have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. Ajay Agarwal, UPCL Director for Projects, has also been removed from his post.

In light of these changes, Gajendra Singh Budiyal has been appointed additional charge of UPCL, while Ajay Kumar Singh assumes additional responsibility at UJVNL. Meanwhile, scientists from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) presented a crucial ecological study to Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan regarding the impact of the ongoing Badrinath Corridor Development Project on the local ecosystem.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, emphasizing the importance of environmental balance, has laid the foundation stone for development projects in Tehri Garhwal worth Rs 41.21 crore. Promises of timely completion underscore initiatives aimed at bolstering infrastructure in hill regions, despite resource constraints. These developments were discussed during a courtesy visit to Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.).
