A search operation is underway at Gobind Sagar Lake in Himachal Pradesh for a missing 24-year-old man, identified as Akashdeep from Punjab's Tarn Taran area. According to the police, he disappeared while washing his hands in the lake on his way to Deotsidh's Baba Balaknath Temple.
The incident occurred on Friday evening, sparking immediate rescue efforts by those present. Unfortunately, the lake's depth made it impossible to locate him. With daylight fading, police teams led by Bangana Station House Officer Rohit Chaudhary temporarily halted the operation.
Efforts resumed on Saturday with divers from Bhakra Beas Management Board in Nangal, Punjab, joining the search. However, Akashdeep remains missing, prompting continued search operations by local authorities and divers.
