Inferno Engulfs Ujjain's Shyam Restaurant Opposite Mahakal Lok

A devastating fire broke out at Shyam Restaurant, located opposite the Mahakal Lok complex in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, gutting the entire establishment early Friday morning. As the fire raged, officials noted the blaze coincided with Amavasya, a day when thousands gathered near the sacred Baba Mahakaleshwar temple.
Upon detecting smoke from the restaurant premises, local authorities promptly contacted the Fire Brigade. Two firefighting vehicles were dispatched immediately to combat the flames. Fireman Dinesh Sisodiya from the Ujjain Municipal Corporation confirmed to ANI that the cause was a short circuit and, fortunately, no lives were lost.
Despite the intensity of the fire, quick action by the fire brigade and police personnel successfully contained it, preventing its spread to nearby structures in the densely populated area. The inferno primarily consumed the kitchen area of the restaurant, located at the rear, but timely intervention ensured safety across the vicinity.
