The Patiala House Court in Delhi has formally framed charges against Lawrence Bishnoi, Kala Jatheri, and 18 others, accused of operating an interstate organised crime syndicate. Presented both physically and remotely, the accused denied the charges, setting the stage for a high-profile trial.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has been directed to secure signatures on the charge orders from those who appeared via video conferencing, including Bishnoi. The charges cover violations under the Arms Act and the Explosives Act, with significant charges tied to illegal arms and possession of a hand grenade.

The trial, slated to begin on May 29, will delve into the alleged operations of the gang, known for extortion, arms trafficking, and other crimes. Investigators have linked the syndicate to activities across several Indian states and noted connections to operations in Canada and Thailand. The case highlights the criminal network's extensive reach and operational capacity.
