Devastating Drone Strikes on Ukraine's Energy Facilities
Russian drones and missiles targeted Ukrainian state energy company Naftogaz's gas production facilities in Poltava and Kharkiv, leading to the deaths of five individuals. The facilities have been significantly damaged, resulting in the tragic loss of five lives, including three employees and two rescue workers. The attacks, as reported by Naftogaz's CEO Serhiy Koretskyi, have led to the cessation of gas production from these sites.
In addition to the fatalities, 37 people sustained injuries during the assault. This incident underscores the ongoing tensions and conflicts in the region, with severe implications for Ukraine's energy infrastructure and national security.
