Constable's Betrayal: Security Personnel Arrested Over Exploitation Claim

A constable assigned to Uttar Pradesh minister Om Prakash Rajbhar was arrested for allegedly raping a woman under false marriage promises and forcing her to have abortions. Identified as Prashant Rai, the constable maintained the relationship secretly while being engaged with another woman. Legal actions are in progress.

A constable providing security to Uttar Pradesh minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has been detained amid accusations of rape and coercion. Prashant Rai, stationed in Ghazipur, was arrested following a complaint that he exploited a woman for years under a false promise of marriage.

According to police officials, the victim, residing in the Sarnath police station area, alleged that her relationship with Rai began four years ago after he promised marriage. Subsequently, she was coerced into abortions during their time together.

The case surfaced after the woman learned of Rai's secret marriage to another woman. Rai's actions have incited legal proceedings, SHO Pankaj Kumar Tripathi confirmed.
