NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Sparks Calls for Accountability and CBI Probe

In a dramatic turn of events, the NEET-UG 2026 examination has been cancelled amid paper leak allegations, spurring calls for accountability and a thorough investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi emphasized the importance of accountability, stating, "One cannot play with the children's future."

Echoing these sentiments, Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D Raja criticized the government's approach, questioning its commitment to students' futures. "It shows the insensitivity of the government towards the lives of our students," Raja told ANI, advocating for a comprehensive probe to reveal the truth behind the malpractices.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that candidates' registration data will remain valid for the upcoming re-test, with no additional fees required. This decision comes after inputs from central agencies and law enforcement which raised serious concerns about the integrity of the May 3 examination process.
