The ongoing NEET-UG paper leak investigation has unearthed a connection to Madhya Pradesh, following the arrest of Dr. Shubham Khairnar in Nashik, Maharashtra. Khairnar was once a student of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Sri Satya Sai University in Sehore, linking the educational institution to the sprawling examination scandal.
Shubham Khairnar was apprehended by Nashik Police at the behest of Rajasthan authorities on charges of serious examination rigging and misconduct tied to a NEET exam in May. During probing, the accused's association with the Sehore-based university surfaced, fueling concerns that the leak's influence might stretch into the institution. Despite these allegations, the university's management has firmly rejected links with Khairnar, asserting his enrollment was merely formal.
In a statement to ANI, Ankit Joshi, Sri Satya Sai University PRO, detailed Khairnar's academic history. "He enrolled in our Ayurveda course in 2021 but never attended classes. His participation in university activities was nonexistent," stated Joshi. As Rajasthan Police interrogate Khairnar, their goal is to trace the network's reach into Sehore and identify any additional complicity in the nationwide racket.
