Delhi has secured the top 'Exemplar' status in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2025 Index, marking significant progress from its previous 'Achiever' category. This news was shared by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who described the accomplishment as a testament to the city's enhanced logistics infrastructure and technology-driven governance.
The LEADS Index categorizes states and Union Territories into Exemplars, High Performers, Accelerators, and Growth Seekers based on logistics infrastructure, services, regulatory environment, and sustainability. Delhi's rise in the rankings is a result of continuous improvements in these critical areas, reflecting the state's commitment to efficient logistics management.
Under the PM Gati Shakti scheme, Delhi's City Logistics Plan aims to enhance urban freight movement and last-mile delivery. The integration of 38 out of 46 mandatory layers on the PM Gati Shakti portal, along with 317 additional layers, has bolstered infrastructure planning. Coupled with initiatives like the Delhi Single Window System and the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), these efforts have streamlined processes and improved coordination among logistics stakeholders.
