In a developing controversy involving the Enforcement Directorate, former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has declared that he was not questioned by officials during the ED searches at his residence. Vijayan affirmed his presence during the raid, which is part of a broader investigation into alleged financial malfeasance.

The scrutiny revolves around payments to Exalogic Solutions Private Limited, owned by Vijayan's daughter, Veena. The firm purportedly received Rs 2.78 crore from CMRL under the pretense of consultancy services. The investigation further examines loans from Empower India Capital Investment Private Limited despite repayment defaults and broader allegations of fictitious expenses amounting to Rs 182 crore.

Vijayan has criticized the BJP government’s perceived harsh stance against opposition parties and accused the Congress of inconsistency in reacting to ED actions, comparing it to other political figures like M. K. Stalin and Arvind Kejriwal. Former Health Minister Veena George's bank account was reportedly frozen amid the raids, adding another layer to the unfolding narrative.
