Political Unrest: CPI(M) Protests ED Raids on Former Kerala CM's Residence

CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby was detained on Wednesday during a protest in Thiruvananthapuram against the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) raids at the residence of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Tensions escalated as CPI(M) members demonstrated against what they brand as politically motivated searches linked to the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) case. The ED's searches spanned 10 locations, including homes of several prominent political figures.

Simultaneously, a parallel protest was held at the ED headquarters in Delhi, led by Baby. CPI(M) accuses the central government of using the agency for political vendetta against opposition leaders, vowing nationwide mobilization to resist such tactics.
