Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has achieved a significant milestone by issuing over 10 lakh Pink Saheli National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC) within just 90 days of its launch, marking a swift and expansive rollout of digital mobility solutions in India. The Pink Saheli NCMC Card, introduced on March 2, offers women in Delhi an efficient and digital means of free travel in DTC buses. This initiative highlights the Delhi Government's commitment to advancing accessible and technology-driven public transport services under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's leadership, according to an official release.

Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh emphasized the government’s dedication to enhancing transparency and service delivery in public mobility, aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s citizen-centric governance vision. During an event, Minister Singh acknowledged the focused efforts of the Transport Department and DTC in ensuring the initiative's success. Achieving the 10 lakh issuance milestone is a testament to this commitment, benefiting Delhi's women with convenience, empowerment, and integrated mobility solutions.

The Pink Saheli Card extends beyond free bus travel, being usable across Delhi Metro, RRTS, and other NCMC-compatible systems, thus enriching the mobility experience for female commuters. Currently, 73 distribution centers issue roughly 11,000 cards daily. The government is poised to expand this capacity as demand grows, ensuring every interested eligible woman can obtain the card. Emphasizing digital transition, Minister Singh noted that data from this initiative would enhance public transport planning and decision-making. Furthermore, DTC's partnership with Airawat Research Foundation and IIT Kanpur will bolster digital public transport solutions, reinforcing a robust transport ecosystem in Delhi.
