A fire erupted at the School of Planning and Architecture in Delhi, quickly quelled by fire services on Monday. Despite initial confusion about the location, officials confirmed the blaze did not occur at the Ministry of Education offices as first reported.
Divisional Fire Officer Rajinder Atwal stated that a call was received at 9 AM, prompting the deployment of eight fire engines that controlled the fire by 10:40 AM. The fire, confined to the second floor of the Environmental Planning Department, resulted in no casualties but affected office materials.
The Ministry of Education clarified that their offices were unaffected, located separately at Kartavya Bhavan-2. The Delhi Fire Services later rectified their initial reporting and confirmed the location as the SPA near ITO. Assistance from ambulances and police supported the operation.
