A complete runway shutdown is slated from October 1 to October 16, 2026, as part of this maintenance plan.

Additionally, a NOTAM has been issued, and temporary payload restrictions are already impacting current operations at the airport due to runway constraints. In a move to prevent potential disruptions to Hajj flights, Akasa Airlines has rerouted the return journeys of pilgrims via Ahmedabad, with a strict baggage policy accommodating safety measures. All stakeholders, including the Ministry of Minority Affairs, are collaborating to ensure minimal inconvenience and uphold passenger safety.
