Amid relentless rainfall across the Kedar Valley, determined pilgrims continue to make their way to Kedarnath Dham, seeking the blessings of Lord Kedarnath. Prioritizing passenger safety, the district administration is maintaining high alertness, putting robust security measures in place along the pilgrimage route and at the holy site.

Stringent monitoring of helicopter services is also underway. Authorities have asserted that helicopter operations will be suspended in adverse weather conditions, such as cloud cover or poor visibility, to ensure maximum safety.

Rudraprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra emphasized the deployment of teams along the pilgrimage path to ensure the safety of devotees. Continuous CCTV surveillance, timely alerts during landslides or heavy rainfall, evacuation protocols, and medical team preparedness at designated relief points constitute the core of their strategy to safeguard pilgrims.

“We have teams stationed on the route for the pilgrims' convenience, with monitoring conducted via cameras. In the event of a landslide, people are quickly alerted and relocated to safe zones. Our medical teams are on standby at relief points to handle emergencies,” said Mishra. Under the Chief Minister's directive, efforts are underway to facilitate a seamless Char Dham Yatra, including control room monitoring, field inspections, and warning signage at hazardous locations to guide and protect pilgrims.

“The Chief Minister has instructed us to ensure that no pilgrim faces inconvenience during the Char Dham Yatra. We are actively monitoring from the control room and conducting field inspections. Barricades and caution signs have been placed at risky paths to prevent any accidental deviation by the pilgrims,” Mishra added.
