The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh, accusing him of arrogance and insensitivity during his recent visit to the families grieving the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) tragedy.

Addressing a Tadepalli press meet, YSRCP spokesperson Vangaveeti Narendra alleged that Lokesh's behavior was unbecoming of a public representative, highlighting the importance of empathy and compassion in such tragic times. The spokesperson criticized Lokesh's response to queries from trade union leaders, describing it as insensitive and inappropriate.

Narendra condemned the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for not fulfilling its election promises regarding the steel plant's future. He further contrasted their handling of the situation with the YSRCP's swift response during the 2020 LG Polymers gas leak, underscoring the government's failure to secure significant support from the Centre.
