In a ceremony graced by President Droupadi Murmu, Major Arshdeep Gill of the Indian Army was bestowed with the Kirti Chakra, recognizing his outstanding bravery and dedication. The prestigious award, India's second-highest peacetime gallantry honor, underscores Major Gill's commitment to duty both on and off the battlefield.

Major Gill, upon receiving the accolade, expressed deep pride not only on behalf of himself but also for his unit, Punjab, and the entire nation. He affirmed that this recognition would serve as a perennial source of motivation for his future endeavors in service of the country.

Among the recipients of the Kirti Chakra were several gallant personnel, including Major Arshdeep Singh, Air Commodore Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, and Captain Lalrinawma Sailo, awardees recognized for their exceptional courage in perilous situations. The Defence Investiture Ceremony also saw a total of 51 gallantry awards conferred, marking a significant moment for the armed forces in persevering through challenges with valor.
