Yas Mall, Ferrari World 'evacuated' during Eid Al Fitr celebrations in Abu Dhabi

Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi has been evacuated according to unconfirmed reports by Lovin Dubai. Some users on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram also posted about the incident. Part of Yas Island is also reportedly shut down due to the incident.

Presence of police and ambulances was also reported by Twitter users.
The incident comes at a time when Yas Mall is holding a mega sale to celebrate Eid Al Fitr and a large number of people are rushing to the mall the celebrate the festival.
The National reports that Mall staff and shoppers said they were asked to leave the shopping centre shortly after 9 am.
According to The National, Ferrari World is also closed due to an unscheduled civil defence drill. While visitors were given complimentary tickets that can be used on another day.

There are unverified reports that the mall would reopen in a few hours.
