Evacuation underway in Derbyshire as heavy rains damaged parts of dam

Whaley Bridge, a town in Derbyshire county of England is being evacuated after heavy rainfall caused damage to the parts of a nearby dam, Derbyshire Police announced on its official Twitter account. The Police asked the people to make alternate arrangements to stay with friends/family, ensure that pets and medication that may be needed for a number of days are taken.
#WhaleyBridge is being evacuated due to the ongoing situation at Toddbrook Reservoir.If you are being evacuated then please start heading to #Chapel High School, Long Lane, #ChapelEnLeFrith, #HighPeak, SK23 0TQ, where further direction will be given.

The Police said, "if people do not have somewhere to go then they will be accommodated, however, there is limited capacity to do so."
The Police released a statement saying "If you are unable to leave your own home and require assistance please contact 101 and ask for the police."
The dam at Toddbrook Reservoir has been damaged after heavy rain battered the region and there is a large hole in its surface. People shared the video on social media.
