Blast hits Herat city of Afghanistan, many people injured

A bomb blast has hit the Herat city in Herat province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, according to local media reports. At least seven people have been reportedly injured in the magnetic improvised explosive device (IED) blast.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Civilians continue to bear the brunt of conflict in Afghanistan. At least 3,812 civilians were killed or wounded in the first half of 2019, according to the United Nations. July saw the highest casualties than any month since May 2017.
