Patrick Chung of New England Patriots indicted for possession of cocaine

Patrick Chung of New England Patriots football team has been indicted for possession of cocaine, according to media reports. He has been indicted by a Belknap County grand jury and will be arraigned next week.
The decision to indict him was taken on Aug 8, according to the indictment letter being shared on Twitter by various media outlets. Chung "did possess or have under his control a quantity of the controlled substance cocaine" on June 25 in Meredith, according to the indictment.

New England Patriots said in Tweet that they are aware of the reports of Chung's indictment but will not be commenting now. "We are aware of the reports regarding Patrick Chung. We will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place," the tweet read.

Chung, 32, has been a part of three Super Bowl-winning teams with the Patriots, including last year's squad. He is entering his 11th NFL season, all but one of which has been with the Patriots; he played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013.
The Patriots selected Chung in the second round, No. 34 overall, in the 2009 NFL Draft. Chung played through a torn rotator cuff last season en route to the Super Bowl.
