Watch: IDF declassify Hezbollah's precision missile project in Lebanon

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have declassified the information about the Hezbollah's precision missile project in Lebanon.

It said Hezbollah is dangerously coming close to possessing precision-guided missiles and becoming the first terror group in the world armed with these lethal capabilities.

The forces have revealed the names of the senior Iranian commanders who are allegedly running the project.

The group, which has been working on the expensive and classified project since 2013, has been attempting to build factories to produce precision missiles in South Lebanon, Beirut and the Bekaa under the guidance of senior Iranian officers.

The Iranian officers have been identified as Brig. Gen. Muhammad Hussein-Zada Hejazi, Col. Majid Nuab, Brig. Gen. Ali Asrar Nuruzi

The military said Iran began its project to transport ready to use precision-guided missiles from Iran between 2013 and 2015. The missiles were supposed to be transported via Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon under the auspices of the Syrian war.

But most of these efforts were thwarted by attacks attributed to Israel. Hezbollah failed to get precision-guided missiles. Therefore due to the failed efforts, Iran and Hezbollah shifted their strategy from transporting whole precision-guided missiles to develop them from existing rockets on Lebanese soil
