Marchwood fire: Residents adviced to keep windows, doors closed; fire under control

A fire has broken out in a waste transfer station in Marchwood, England prompting authorities to ask residents to keep their windows and doors shut due to plumes of smoke rising in the area.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has said that the fire at Marchwood is under control and crews are still in place to put it off.

Marchwood is a small village with only about 6,200 people living in the area and falls under Hampshire county.
