Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has taken a stringent stance against medical negligence, dismissing 17 doctors for unauthorized absenteeism.

Pathak, who also manages the medical and health portfolio, emphasized that medical service is a divine duty and highlighted that negligence cannot be tolerated.

He instructed the Principal Secretary of Medical and Health to proceed with the formal dismissal of the accused doctors. A senior health official confirmed that due process is being adhered to in executing these orders.
