The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) will organize a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday. This demonstration is a response to the rape and murder of a doctor at the RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata.
FAIMA issued a statement emphasizing their demand for justice and the need for the Central Healthcare Protection Act to ensure healthcare professionals' safety.
FAIMA founder Manish Jangra announced that doctors from various hospitals in Delhi-NCR would join the protest. The recent Supreme Court intervention led to doctors resuming duties after an 11-day strike triggered by the heinous crime.
