A groundbreaking vaccine aimed at tackling cancers affecting women is poised for release within five to six months, Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav announced. Targeting individuals aged nine to 16, the vaccine's research is nearing completion as trials press forward.

Addressing the expanding issue of cancer, the Union Minister of State for Health, Family Welfare, and Ayush (Independent Charge) outlined governmental initiatives at a recent press conference. The approach includes cancer screenings for women over 30 at hospitals and the development of daycare cancer centers for prompt disease detection.

In a bid to make treatment more accessible, the government has eliminated customs duties on cancer medicines. The minister also emphasized enhancements in Ayush healthcare facilities across the country, with plans to bolster the existing network of 12,500 institutions.
