Olympic silver medallist weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has stepped up to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign against obesity, a rapidly growing health issue. Chanu underscored that even small lifestyle modifications can significantly combat this concern.

Launched on Monday, the initiative saw Prime Minister Modi nominating 10 influential figures, including Chanu, to spearhead efforts in addressing obesity. This move followed his call to the public the day before to proactively tackle the burgeoning problem.
