Zambia’s First Lady extols activities of AIDS Health Foundation

AIDS Health Foundation has received tribute from Zambia's First Lady Esther Nyawa Lungu for the kind of work the organization is performing across the nation in supplementing government's efforts in healthcare delivery. She recently had a bilateral meeting with one of the board members of AIDS Health Foundation, Kelvin Sauls in Los Angeles.
According to Zambia's First Lady, since its inception, the organization has supported over 72,000 people living with HIV in the country. She observed that the effort provided the organization in healthcare service has created a huge impact in supporting the vision of government of talking healthcare delivery as close to the people as possible, as reported by Lusaka Times.
Esther Nyawa Lungu, the 57-year old politician and Chairman and mentor of Esther Lungu Foundation, expressed her gratitude to the Board of AIDS Health Foundation for issuing the funds that led to the construction of Chifundo clinic in Chaisa Compound. She has also appealed to the organization to consider extending its support to the Esther Lungu Foundation in scaling up socio-development programs with particular attention to vulnerable groups such as women and girls and the physically changed.
Kelvin Sauls has said that his organization is absolutely ready to expand its efforts in supporting various initiatives aimed at strengthening healthcare systems in Zambia. The First Lady is also being extolled by him for varied interventions Esther Lungu Foundation is implementing across the nation in uplifting the welfare of marginalized groups in the rural regions.
