Odisha's AYUSH Initiative: Boosting Ayurveda and Healthcare Expansion
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the establishment of an Ayurveda college in Rairangpur at a cost of Rs 85 crore, alongside eight additional Panchakarma centres. These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare services by integrating traditional Ayurveda, with plans for new AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries across the state.

In a significant push towards enhancing traditional healthcare services, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi revealed on Tuesday the state's plan to establish an Ayurvedic college in Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj district, with an investment of Rs 85 crore.
Addressing a function on National Ayurveda Day, Majhi highlighted that the college's development is a joint effort with the Centre, aimed at broadening Ayurvedic education and treatment facilities. The state also plans to inaugurate eight more 'Panchakarma' centres this year.
These centres and the new college are part of a larger strategy to expand AYUSH healthcare services, with several integrated hospitals and dispensaries being established across Odisha, benefitting over 2.3 crore patients so far this year.
