The Himachal Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has given the green light to a Rs 534.36 lakh project aimed at constructing a modern de-addiction and rehabilitation center in Kotla-Barog, Sirmaur district.

During a review meeting with officials from the Social Justice and Empowerment department and others, Sukhu emphasized that additional funds will be provided if necessary. The center is designed to accommodate 100 individuals and will offer facilities such as a library, gymnasium, and various sports amenities.

Furthermore, the center will focus on skill and vocational training, supported by medical care from appointed doctors, nurses, and other staff. The Chief Minister has instructed Deputy Commissioners in Solan and Sirmaur to facilitate the land transfer from the Animal Husbandry Department to the Social Justice and Empowerment Department for this initiative.
