FDA Memo Reveals Child Deaths Linked to COVID-19 Vaccinations

An internal memo from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has revealed that at least 10 children could have died as a result of COVID-19 vaccinations, potentially due to myocarditis, according to a Friday report by the New York Times. This revelation has sparked discussions about vaccine safety.

The Department of Health and Human Services, which the FDA is a part of, has yet to respond to Reuters' request for comments. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., known for his strong anti-vaccine stance, has altered government policy on COVID vaccines, restricting their availability to individuals 65 and older and those with underlying health conditions.

The internal document, authored by FDA Chief Medical and Scientific Officer Vinay Prasad, did not specify the exact conditions or manufacturers related to the cases. Designated as a critical finding, it led to plans for stricter vaccine regulations. The FDA's findings are yet to undergo peer review, while the CDC's vaccine committee plans to convene next week on this issue.
