Uttar Pradesh's Healthcare Upgrade: State Funds High-Tech Hospital Equipment

The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated Rs 13.46 crore to enhance 20 state hospitals with state-of-the-art medical equipment. This move aims to enable accurate diagnosis and effective treatment, and reduce hospital stays. Advanced machines like digital X-ray, ECG, and ultrasound equipment will be installed.

The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned a budget of Rs 13.46 crore for the modernization of 20 hospitals across the state. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak revealed this initiative on Friday, highlighting its aim to facilitate timely and precise diagnosis through advanced medical equipment.

Upgrades will include digital X-ray, ECG, ultrasound machines, and specialized tools for cataract surgeries. These advancements intend to decrease patients' hospital stays while enhancing surgery success rates. The modern equipment is expected to ensure precise investigations and diagnosis, crucial for effective treatment.

Beneficiaries include major hospitals like Motilal Nehru Divisional Hospital in Prayagraj and District Women's Hospital in Bareilly, among others. In Mirzapur, a new 50-bed facility will boast a dedicated ophthalmology department, furthering the state's commitment to healthcare improvement.
