A 79-year-old woman, who went missing during an evening walk in south Mumbai, was quickly located thanks to a GPS tracker worn as a necklace. Her grandson, Mohammed Wasim Ayub Mulla, had installed the device, proving crucial after Saira Bi Tajuddin Mulla was hit by a two-wheeler in the Sewree area.
After the accident on December 3, Mulla was quickly transported to the KEM Hospital by pedestrians. Her family, worried by her absence, was relieved when Wasim Mulla activated the GPS tracker, pinpointing her location at the hospital, roughly 5 km from where the accident occurred.
Mulla, who sustained a head injury, was subsequently transferred to JJ Hospital for further treatment. Her family remains by her side as she responds well to medical care. Wasim Mulla, employed at a private firm in Nallasopara, emphasized the importance of the GPS device in reuniting with his grandmother.
