A tragic water contamination crisis in Indore's Bhagirathpura area has claimed the life of two-year-old Siya Prajapati. The young girl's demise has drawn public attention to the severe consequences of unsafe drinking water in the region.
Siya, affectionately known as 'Laddu,' suffered from severe health complications, including liver abscess and pneumonia, following exposure to contaminated water. Despite receiving medical care at two hospitals, she ultimately passed away, leaving her family, especially her father Suraj Prajapati, in deep sorrow. Suraj recalls the joyful memories with his daughter, saying, 'How can we forget the moments we spent with our child?'
The incident has ignited an investigation led by a judicial commission, as 35 deaths have been reported in the area due to the water crisis. The Madhya Pradesh government has distributed financial aid to the affected families, yet the tragedy underscores the urgent need to address water safety and sanitation issues in the city.
