A journey intended to be an adventurous romp across the South Atlantic turned into an unintended quarantine for Jake Rosmarin and several other passengers. Aboard the MV Hondius, they faced a sudden hantavirus outbreak that led to a three-person casualty, sparking intensive health monitoring.
Rosmarin, a photographer from Boston, is currently one of 18 Americans quarantined at the University of Nebraska Medical Centre. Despite being isolated, he maintains optimism, documenting his experiences online and adapting to his temporary home with personal touches.
