Sanjay Singh, Rajya Sabha MP from Aam Aadmi Party, has made a heartfelt appeal for financial intervention from the central government to aid a 17-month-old child in Assam suffering from Type-1 spinal muscular atrophy.

During a press conference, Singh called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Health Minister J P Nadda, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to provide funds for the costly treatment required to save the child's life.

The toddler's family, overwhelmed by the Rs 9 crore cost of the necessary injection, is seeking governmental assistance. Singh emphasized the urgent need for help by committing to send official letters to the leaders mentioned, while the child's father also voiced pleas for help.
